NOSA was established in 1951 by the South African Government with the primary objective of reducing the injury and fatality rates in both the mining and general industry sectors of the South African economy. In 2005, MICROmega Holdings Limited acquired NOSA (Pty) Ltd, fully privatising the parastatal’s domestic and global operations.
