Adspace24, a division of Media24 has a vacancy for Digital Strategist based in their JHB (Randburg) offices.
The main purpose of the role is to develop and implement advertising revenue strategies to create sales opportunities across Media24 News Digital platforms.
Key responsibilities:
- Analysing existing campaigns to refine strategies for upcoming campaigns, considering performance metrics and behavioral targeting, ensuring continuous improvement in advertising operations, to aid in achieving the advertising sales and overall business targets.
- Research and analyse trends and market/business/industry intelligence in order to identify opportunities for revenue growth;
- Work closely with media strategists, key account and sales managers to identify solutions for clients;
- Assist in the post campaign analysis to ensure client KPI’s are met and that campaign insights and recommendations reflective of the campaign objectives and performance.
- Engage regularly with business units to identify potential opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell to existing and new clients;
- Build effective relationships and networks internally and externally;
- Work directly and collaboratively with development, commercial, editorial, operations, marketing, creative teams (internal and external) and customers in an effort to inform and implement product and advertising operational improvements that create commercial value for Media24 News portfolio;
- If appropriate, attend client presentations to present innovative and strategic solutions or post-campaign feedback.
Skills and competencies:

- Excellent understanding of technology and digital media industry
- Significant knowledge of digital advertising (paid, search, social) trends and its application to digital strategy on a client-specific basis
- Excellent knowledge of ad-serving technology and analytics / tracking products (DMP’s, DFP etc.)
- Keeping abreast with current business and financial news
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate analysis into strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate and interact effectively at all levels

Required Qualification:
University degree or postgraduate qualification in the relevant field. Eg. Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent years in a related field
Experience and Knowledge
Minimum of 5 years experience in digital media advertising at a Media Owner or client service at a digital agency (at mid-level)
Experience in digital advertising sales
Thorough knowledge of the Digital Media Landscape.
Knowledge of Digital Measurement, Ad-Serving, Tracking tools and interpretation of results.
Existing client relationships.
