The Learning and Development Consultant is responsible for the successful execution of learning and development initiatives across the organization. This includes assisting in the design, development, and implementation of training programs that align with organizational goals and foster employee growth. The L&D Consultant will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify skill gaps, assess training needs, and recommend effective learning solutions. The role will contribute to evaluating the impact of learning programs and offer insights for continuous improvement, ensuring the overall success and alignment of L&D efforts with business objectives.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Content Design and Development
- Design and develop high-quality, engaging learning content for various delivery methods (e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, microlearning, etc.)
- Create storyboards, scripts, and other design documents for learning programs
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and translate complex information into accessible learning materials
- Ensure all content adheres to instructional design principles and best practices
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization’s learning and development strategy
- Analyze training needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in learning and development
- Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high quality
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including team members, subject matter experts, and external vendors
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for learning initiatives
- Assist and manage skills development projects aligned to business and legislative requirements
- Design and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of learning programs
- Analyze training metrics and learner feedback to continuously improve content and delivery methods
- Provide regular reports on the impact and ROI of learning initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
- Consult with business units to understand their learning needs and provide tailored solutions
- Present learning strategies and solutions to senior management
- Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies to deliver and track learning programs
- Recommend and implement new learning technologies to enhance the learning experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in learning and development, with a focus on content design and development
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs in corporate environments
- Experience with various authoring tools (e.g., x x x x) and learning management systems
- Experience in facilitation within learning and development is an added advantage
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in learning and development, with a focus on content design and development and facilitation
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs in corporate environments
- Proven track record of project management and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with various authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems
- Understanding the skills development landscape within learning and development, and being able to assist with skills development projects and deliverables
