Reporting to the Transformation Manager, this role will be responsible for implementing and tracking strategies to ensure the organisation’s compliance with BBBEE legislation and to drive economic transformation initiatives. The role involves working with various stakeholders to promote diversity, inclusion, and economic empowerment within the company and its supply chain.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Key Account Management
Implementation of Enterprise and Supplier Development programme
Implement ESD programs
Develop initiatives to support the growth and development of SMEs, including training, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, finance, legal) to integrate ESD objectives into broader corporate strategies.
Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
Conduct assessments of potential and existing suppliers to identify development needs and opportunities.
Implementation of Socio-Economic Development and CSI programmes
Design and develop CSI strategies and programs that support community development and address social issues.
Implement and manage CSI projects, ensuring they align with the company's goals and community needs.
Engage with internal stakeholders to design a staff CSI initiative
Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including community organizations, NGOs, government agencies, and beneficiaries
BBBEE Strategy Implementation
Implement strategies and policies that align with the organization's business objectives and Social Impact Strategy.
Ensure the organization's BBBEE scorecard is optimized through effective planning and execution of initiatives.
Provide inputs in formulation of policies, practices and processes that affect BBBEE within Company
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure the company complies with all BBBEE regulations and requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Training and Awareness
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees and management on BBBEE principles, benefits, and compliance requirements.
Raise awareness about the importance of BBBEE within the organization and its impact on business sustainability.
Requirements:
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TABLE?
Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance
NQF Level 7: relevant Bachelor’s degree (Commerce, Law, Social Sciences; Supply Chain Management or Economics)
Certificate in BBBEE Management Development Programme
3 to 5 years’ experience in enterprise development, supplier development, or strategic sourcing
Proven track record in managing development programs and working with SMEs
Proven track record of experience with the BBBEE rating process preferably obtained at a BBBEE rating agency
Experience with a BEE Scorecard Information System
Experience in the successful implementation of transformation strategies is required
