Master Business Associates (Pty) Ltd. was established in 2005 with the merger of the established auditing firms Carrim & Carrim and Maritz, Brouard & Associates Incorporated.

Master Business Associates (Pty) Ltd. is a medium-sized, black empowered, public accounting and auditing practice. The majority members of the Board of Directors are black with a 51% control and voting power. The discretionary procurement from black controlled companies is 66% and the expenditure on social responsibility by the firm is 2.8% of turnover.
