- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to staff and residential ISP customers via Freshdesk, phone, and remote tools
- Troubleshoot fibre/wireless internet, desktop/laptop hardware and software, mobile phones, and VoIP setups
- Assist with router setups and CPE configurations (Mikrotik), remote diagnostics, and site-level support
- Respond to support tickets, keep users informed throughout, and offer standby/after-hours support when required
- Deploy and manage workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, VoIP phones, and residential routers
- Support and maintain LAN/WAN networks, internal WiFi APs, biometric systems, AV setups, UPS (Fumes), and smart utility/water meters
- Configure and manage wireless links and devices including Mikrotik, Cuddy, and Yealink
- Ensure seamless system integration and uptime across all devices and infrastructure
- Implement software and security updates across Windows, Chrome OS, and macOS platforms
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly IT maintenance and monitoring tasks to optimize performance and uptime
- Support system upgrades, patch management, and Google Suite administration
- Track and maintain IT inventory and hardware/software assets
- Manage mobile phone accounts (Vodacom) and provision mobile devices
- Set up remote access via TeamViewer
- Coordinate procurement of IT equipment and repairs, and maintain vendor relationships
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of ISP support policies and IT procedures
- Ensure adherence to internal IT standards, data security protocols, and industry best practices
- Monitor overall system performance and proactively troubleshoot network issues
- Assist the ISP Desktop Technician with on-site and remote tasks as needed
- Maintain high service standards and support IT operational efficiency
- Matric
- Relevant Information Technology Diploma or Degree advantageous
- Mikrotik MTCNA/MTCRE
- Qualification or Certificate in Information Technology or other relevant qualifications from industry recognised institutes (A+, N+, MCSA, MCSE, MCP or MOUSE)
- Proven working experience as a Desktop Support Technician, Network Support Technician, Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop computers and their operating systems and peripherals in office environments (Windows, Chrome OS, Macos).
- ISP or telecommunications background
- Ticketing, and answering customer queries via the phone
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven organisational and administration skills
- Able to perform under pressure
- Customer service orientated
- Knowledge of outdoor wireless networks (Mikrotik)
- Solid and positive written references
- Provide after-hours support when required
- Valid Driver’s License and Own Reliable Transport (Compulsory)
- Clear health record
- Clear credit record
- No criminal record

Specific Requirements
Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45 minute lunch break. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi time between 07h00 and 18h00.
