Employer: Express Employment Professionals (Middelburg)

Our client in the chrome mining sector are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join their team in Burgersfort to repair, maintain, and install electrical wiring and components in heavy mining vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting diagnostic tests, and repairing or replacing faulty parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for working with earthmoving vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect heavy mining vehicles and diagnose electrical issues.
Repair or replace wiring, fuses, and electrical components.
Install electrical systems and accessories, such as alarms, sound systems, and lighting.
Perform diagnostic tests using specialized equipment.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies.

Required Skills

Auto Electrician: 5 to 6 years
Underground Mechanized Mining Environment Experience: 5 to 6 years
Experience With Trackless Mining Machinery, LHD's, Dump Truck, Drill Rigs, Utility Vehicles: 5 to 6 years

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

Matric/Grade 12.
Trade Test: Automotive Electrician.
Valid Drivers License.

Required Experience:

Underground Mechanized Mining Environment experience (5 years).
Maintaining Trackless Mining Machinery, LHD's, Dump Truck, Drill Rigs, Utility Vehicles (5 years).

Other Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in an underground mining environment. Physically fit.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
