Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Millwright to join them in Johannesburg South, Gauteng. The successful candidate will have experience with maintaining and repairing equipment in railway industry or automated plant manufacturing.

Job Title: Millwright
Geographical area: Johannesburg South, Gauteng
Salary range: Market Related

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Carry out maintenance, repair and fault-finding tasks to ensure machine availability for production to reach targets
Maintain pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment on machinery. This includes gearboxes, gears, tensioners and PLC’s
Perform electrical and mechanical planned maintenance Installation and repair of all machinery.
Set timing, cams and limits on equipment as per manufacturers’ specifications.
Investigate root causes of plant failures.
Communicate downtime data to the Operations Manager and ensure downtime targets are met.
Repair and maintenance of CNC machines

Minimum qualifications and experience:

Matric
Trade Tested Millwright
Pneumatic and Electro-Pneumatic systems
PLC programming and VSD set-up knowledge is advantageous
At least 5 years’ post trade experience as a Millwright in plant equipment maintenance and repairs required within an Engineering Manufacturing Industry
