Our client is a UK-based website design agency known for delivering bespoke, high-conversion websites with a personalized, concierge-style approach. They place their clients and their businesses at the forefront of every project, ensuring exceptional service and results.
We are looking for a highly reliable and detail-oriented Finance & Payments Specialist to oversee and coordinate payment operations across multiple companies. This role demands precision, organization, and a sharp eye for detail. You will handle supplier payments, salary transfers, VAT schedules, subscription billing, and client communication with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, meets tight deadlines, and takes pride in delivering flawless work
Note: This role is currently an Independent Contractor role, which means you will be required to submit an invoice to the client monthly at an agreed monthly rate. The company is in the process of establishing an entity in South Africa, once done there is a high possibility of this role being adjusted to a permanent position.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience with Xero, Zoho Books, and Wise (Preferred).
Reliable internet connection and a fully functional remote work setup.
Availability for 4 hours per day between 9 am – 5:30 pm (UK Time).
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines with precision.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Tech-savvy and efficient with spreadsheets, accounting tools, and digital filing systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Making accurate, timely supplier payments via UK banking platforms and organizing digital invoices (Xero, Zoho Books).
Ensuring accurate salary payments, including cross-border payments via Wise.com and UK banking.
Monitoring VAT deadlines for multiple UK-based companies and ensuring timely submissions and payments.
Managing GoCardless payment subscriptions for client services and proactively troubleshooting issues.
Preparing and sending weekly payment summaries to management for approval.
Handling client and supplier communication professionally regarding payment confirmations, requests, and issues.
