Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax practice and accounting.
Relevant tax qualification or actively working towards completing a professional tax qualification (Preferred).
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work independently under pressure.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team player capable of engaging effectively with colleagues and clients.
Infrastructure to support remote work during hybrid days.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and complete Individual, Corporate, and Trust Income Tax Returns.
Compile Provisional Income Tax Returns biannually, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ensure tax compliance and manage various SARS registrations and telephonic queries.
Reconcile and complete Income Tax Audits, DWT returns, Donations Tax returns, and related queries.
Prepare and submit Notices of Objection (NOO) and Notices of Appeal (NOA).
Respond to Tax Audits and arrange Tax Clearance Certificates and Foreign Investment Certificates.
Prepare applications to waive interest and penalties.
Assist with Tax Compromises and Deferments.
Prepare and file repayment arrangements with SARS.
Ensure internal controls are adhered to, including timely invoicing for tax services.
Provide tax input for Annual Financial Statements (AFS) prepared by the internal team.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of TaxPlanner and Company TaxPlanner software.
Optional: present tax training to clients through the associated training company.
