Job Description:The Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the 5-star restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high service standards, and efficient restaurant performance. The role includes managing staff, maintaining quality control, optimizing profitability, and upholding the brand’s luxury image.Key Responsibilities:Guest Experience & Service ExcellenceEnsure a world-class dining experience aligned with 5-star standardsHandle guest complaints and special requests professionally and promptlyMaintain a strong floor presence, engaging with VIP guests and regular patronsStaff Management & TrainingRecruit, train, and mentor front-of-house staff (waiters, hosts, sommeliers, etc.)Schedule shifts and manage staff performance and disciplineConduct regular service training and product knowledge sessionsOperational OversightOversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless serviceMonitor food and beverage presentation, cleanliness, and ambianceEnforce health, safety, and hygiene standardsFinancial ManagementControl operating expenses, stock, and wastageMonitor budgets, sales targets, and profitabilityProcess and analyze daily sales reports and revenue dataMarketing & PromotionsCollaborate with marketing on events, wine pairings, and seasonal promotionsMaintain online presence and reputation management (reviews, social media)Supplier & Inventory ManagementLiaise with suppliers for stock, equipment, and procurementConduct regular inventory counts and manage stock levels efficiently
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-end or 5-star restaurant environment
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food & wine pairing, menu planning, and service protocols
- Computer literacy: POS systems (e.g., Micros), MS Office, inventory software
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on leader with a passion for guest service and team development
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) or similar wine training
- Experience with fine dining, à la carte service, and event management
- Knowledge of local and international culinary trends
- Well-groomed, professional appearance in line with a luxury establishment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
