My client, an established fruit exporter based in Stellenbosch has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quality Coordinator to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate must have a B.Sc Agric, B.Sc Horticulture or equivalent qualification with 1-2 Years’ experience in perishables export quality and / or due diligence environment.

Key Performance Areas:

Maintain producer and packhouse accreditation database and folders
Establish and maintain MRL calculator database, lab report folders and Food Experts PPPL lists
Maintain client due diligence requirements or portals
Effective handling and processing of quality feedback/information
Adherence to client fruit packing specification
Handling any ad-hoc duties

Skills Required

Knowledge of PPECB export standards and Produce export requirements
Knowledge of citrus quality defects, post-harvest diseases, physiological disorders and quality assessment
Knowledge of QX produce management system beneficial
Fully bilingual Afrikaans and English, to effectively communicate with both producers and buyers
Strong administrative skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Backoffice products (Excel, Word, Outlook) with a willingness to explore new technology tools (like AI) to continuously improve processes
