A leading road logistics company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize its logistics operations in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fleet management, route planning, compliance, and team leadership within the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily transport and logistics operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Manage and optimize fleet operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and driver performance.
Ensure compliance with logistics regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
Implement and improve operational processes to enhance productivity and service delivery.
Monitor and manage operational budgets, cost control, and profitability.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth coordination between logistics, sales, and customer service.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Lead, train, and motivate the operations team to achieve business objectives.
Analyze operational data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 3 years in an Operations Manager role within the road logistics industry.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fleet management, transport regulations, and route planning.
Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with logistics software and tracking systems.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications: A relevant Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management will be an advantage.
