Lead the financial strategy and reporting for a global mining group in a dynamic and multi-jurisdictional environment.

A prominent mining group is seeking an experienced Head of Finance, with 10+ years of post-qualification experience, to oversee corporate reporting, financial compliance, and strategic financial management across multiple international entities. This role requires a highly skilled finance leader with a strong technical background and the ability to manage complex financial structures and compliance frameworks.

Other Duties Include:

Overseeing corporate reporting, including sustainability reports, and statutory filings.
Final review and approval of group financial statements, management accounts, and joint venture consolidations.
Leading budgeting processes, consolidating departmental budgets, and presenting to the Board.
Managing high-level financial accounting, treasury operations, and share incentive schemes.
Overseeing tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including income tax, VAT, and deferred tax calculations.
Providing strategic financial insights to executive leadership and the Board.
Managing a senior finance team and providing leadership across financial functions.

Education:

CA(SA) qualification

Job Experience & Skills Required:

10+ years of post-articles experience in financial reporting, corporate finance, and taxation, preferably within the mining sector.
Strong experience in group consolidations, multi-jurisdictional compliance, and statutory reporting.
Proven leadership in managing finance teams and stakeholder engagement.
Expertise in treasury and tax management, including international tax frameworks.
Advanced technical proficiency in IFRS and financial systems.
