An opportunity to lead and shape financial and tax strategies in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment within the mining sector.

A well-established mining group is seeking a seasoned finance professional (CA(SA)), with 7 - 10 years of post-qualification experience, to take on a pivotal role in financial reporting, tax management, and strategic financial oversight. This role offers the chance to oversee financial operations across multiple entities, drive compliance, and provide key decision-making support to senior leadership.

Other Duties Include:

• Overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial and non-financial reports across multiple entities.
• Managing group-wide treasury functions, ensuring effective cash flow and maximizing interest-earning opportunities.
• Ensuring compliance with multi-jurisdictional tax requirements, including mining-specific regulations.
• Providing strategic financial insights to executive management and the Board, to support business objectives.
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, analyzing variances, and presenting findings to leadership.

Education:

• CA(SA) qualification

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 7 - 10 years of post-articles experience in financial reporting and tax, preferably within the mining sector.
• Strong treasury, tax, and compliance management expertise.
• Experience working in a multi-jurisdictional environment with international reporting standards.
• Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
