Job OverviewOur client is seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Seedling Grower to join our team at the Riebeek West Nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing seedling production to meet international quality standards, managing irrigation and pest control programs, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Execute commercial seedling production in line with international quality standards.
Plan and implement daily irrigation and pest control schedules.
Guide and manage the irrigation team effectively.
Maintain and operate growing support systems.
Conduct seedling production trials to improve processes and yield.

Requirements

Education & Experience

A tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Horticulture.
Experience in intensive vegetable farming is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken).
Leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks and follow up.
Valid driver’s licence and access to own transport.
