Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and overseeing tax compliance processes for individuals, companies, and trusts
- Ensuring accurate and timeous submission of VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax returns
- Reviewing tax assessments and identifying the need for objections or appeals
- Liaising with SARS on tax-related matters, queries, and disputes
- Monitoring legislative changes and ensuring adherence to tax regulations
- Providing guidance on tax planning and optimization strategies
- Preparing tax reports and ensuring financial compliance with statutory requirements
- Supporting and training junior staff on tax-related matters
- Assisting in tax audits and coordinating with external auditors
- Managing client portfolios and ensuring accurate record-keeping of tax transactions
- Strong knowledge of SARS eFiling, tax legislation, and compliance regulations
- At least 4 years of experience in a tax compliance or tax management role
- Experience in an accounting or tax firm (advantageous)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- Relevant qualification in tax, accounting, or finance (advantageous)
- Fluent in English with a good command of Afrikaans
