Professional Accountant

SAICA articles

AGA(SA) registration

Key Requirements:

Completed SAICA articles (essential)
AGA(SA) registration would be an added advantage
At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting principles
Solid knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel (experience with systems like Sage, Xero, Pastel, or similar, is advantageous)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards
Ensure that all financial records are kept up to date, reconciling accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with all local tax laws and regulations
Assist with managing cash flow, budgets, and forecasting for the business
Oversee the preparation of management reports and variance analysis
Provide financial advice and insights to assist senior management with strategic decision-making
Work closely with Auditors during year-end audits and ensure that all the necessary documentation is provided for reviews
Support the finance team with any other ad hoc accounting tasks and projects
