Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This role requires an expert in B2B and B2C sales, relationship management, and digital prospecting to help build a strong supplier and contractor network while also engaging directly with end users.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier and Contractor Acquisition – Identify, approach, and onboard new suppliers and contractors to the marketplace, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring continued engagement.
Customer Lead Management – Vet incoming customer leads, communicate the platform’s value proposition, and facilitate smooth onboarding of serious prospects.
Sales Funnel Optimization – Actively manage and refine the sales pipeline, working closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to maximize conversion rates.
Trusted Supplier Platform Management – Ensure accurate and relevant listings, nurture strong supplier relationships, and identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
Relationship Building & Networking – Engage with suppliers and customers, represent the company at industry events, and leverage LinkedIn Sales Navigator to generate leads.
Market Analysis & Reporting – Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities, providing strategic insights and reports to senior leadership.

Candidate Requirements
Essential:Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role. (Preferably within SAAS, tech or software sales)
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience closing deals.
Experience managing both B2B and B2C relationships.
Proficiency in CRM and sales management tools.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects effectively.
Desirable:
Experience in the construction, property, or technology sectors.
Existing network within relevant industries.
Familiarity with digital marketplaces and SaaS platforms.
Ability to speak Afrikaans or Dutch.
