We are an accounting firm looking to welcome a dynamic accountant to join our team.

To uphold our high service standards, we require a self-motivated, disciplined and detail-oriented accountant. The candidate must be able to handle pressure, high work volumes and meet deadlines. Good customer service is essential as the candidate will have a client base of atleast 30 companies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The candidate will be performing the following monthly for his/her clients:

Bookkeeping up to trial balance
Submission of EMP201 returns
Payroll
Submission of VAT201 returns
Other administrative services

Other duties & responsibilities:

Bank reconcilliation
E@syFile (IRP5's and EMP501 recon)
VAT reviews, PAYE reviews and Income Tax Reviews
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
Personal Income Tax returns (ITR12)
SARS objections/disputes/queries/audits
Ensuring tax compliance

Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

Must have a BCom Accounting or part BCom Accounting degree
Candidate must have experience with Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Sage Online, Caseware, E-Filing, E@syFile, Pastel Payroll, SimplePay and Pastel Partner.
The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years experience as an accountant.
Experience working on more than one company
The candidate should be skilled in Word, Excel and Outlook
The candidate must be fluent in Afrikaans and English
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
