Location: Doomadgee Remote Community, Queensland, Australia

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Determines product mix, stock levels, and service standards

Formulates and implements purchasing and marketing policies and sets prices

Promotes and advertises the establishment's goods and services

Sells goods and services to customers and advises them on product use

Maintains records of stock levels and financial transactions
-
Undertakes budgeting for the establishment

Controls selection, training and supervision of staff
-
Ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven leadership experience in a retail environment.
• Demonstrated experience with inventory control systems, POS systems, and bookkeeping software.
• Proven experience in managing fast food and/or bakery operations.
• Experience in supervising and training staff within a Human Resources and Work Health &
Safety framework.
Desired:
• Previous experience working and living in regional remote communities.
• Experience leading an indigenous workforce.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate, Forklift HRWL, and an open “C” Class driver’s license.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, databases, and related software.
• A sound understanding of indigenous culture and the unique challenges of remote community operations.
