Job Overview:

Hire Resolves’ client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be Trade Tested (Red Seal Certified), hold a Wireman’s License, and be registered with the Western Cape Electrical Board.

 This role requires a professional who can work independently and sign off on Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for completed electrical work across household, commercial, and industrial sectors. Experience in solar installations will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Installations & Maintenance: Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on single and three-phase electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• COC Certification: Conduct inspections and issue Certificates of Compliance (COC) for electrical work, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Independent Work: Execute projects without supervision, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry regulations.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets South African electrical codes and safety standards.
• Solar Installations (Advantageous): Knowledge and experience with solar system installations will be beneficial.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside junior electricians and technicians, providing mentorship and guidance where needed.
• Client Interaction: Engage professionally with clients, explaining work conducted and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Trade Test Certification (Red Seal)
• Wireman’s License
• Registered with the Western Cape Electrical Board – Must be able to issue a COC independently.
• Proven experience working in household, commercial, and industrial environments.
• Valid Driver’s License & Own Transport
• Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for project completion.
• Solar installation experience – Preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
