Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Junior Accountant that is based in Johannesburg, Sandton(Bryanston) in the sport marketing industry. The ideal candidate has recently completed their SAIPA articles or has up to two years of post-articles SAICA experience. This role is perfect for a motivated individual looking to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting functions within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bank and cash reconciliations.
• Assist with creditors and debtors management.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Reconcile intercompany loan accounts.
• Conduct expense variance analysis and assist with cost control measures.
• Support inventory management by performing stock reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with VAT calculations, submissions, and reconciliations.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting (Mandatory).
• Completed SAIPA articles OR SAICA articles with up to 2 years post-articles experience.

• Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Afrikaans and English (both written and spoken).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
