Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Food Safety:

• Implement and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

• Foster a culture of food safety awareness and accountability across the site.

• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, legislation, certification bodies, company objectives, and Best Operating Practices (BOP).

• Conduct validation of Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRP), Critical Control Points (CCPs), allergen management, and cleaning programs.

• Coordinate and lead audits (internal, external, and customer), investigate food safety complaints, and drive effective corrective/preventive actions.

• Deliver and manage food safety training programs, ensuring staff are up to date and proficient.

Procurement:

• Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients and supplies.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, fostering long-term partnerships.

• Source high-quality products at optimal prices while maintaining consistent supply to meet production needs.

• Negotiate prices with suppliers to maximise value for the organisation.

• Collaborate with the production team to streamline supply chain operations and maintain product quality.
