Engineering Firm, with offices in Somerset West is seeking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join their team This is a collaborative position that will allow the engineer to learn from those around them while also getting a chance to work autonomously on projects from concept to completion. This position will involve taking on a team-lead roll to assist junior engineers to develop their skills while still performing your own designs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Structural design and detailing of various structures (Steel, Concrete, Masonry).
Create technical drawings and project specifications.
Liaise with professionals such as architects, specialist engineers, clients and contractors.
Perform site inspections of structural elements.
Perform a team-lead role assisting junior engineers to develop their skills.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in civil engineering.
3-8yrs experience.
Experience with AutoCAD, or similar computer-aided detailing software. Revit is a plus.
Experience with BIM design software, such as Prokon.
