Minimum requirements
- An NQF Level 9 Master’s Degree in Architecture (i.e., M. Arch).
- Minimum 2 years of Architectural Practice Experience.
- Eligibility to register as a Professional Architect with SACAP.
- Commitment to register for a PhD in Architecture in the academic year following appointment.
Preferred requirements
- Registration as a Professional Architect with SACAP.
- Previous University Teaching & Learning and Research Experience
- Previous Practice Experience in 4IR, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning within the Architecture Discipline
Summary of duties
- Undertaking Research (including but not limited to Postgraduate Studies, in Accredited Journals, in collaboration with other Academics and Universities).
- Undertaking Community Engagement (including but not limited to Community Projects, Engaging with Industry, Collaboration with other Universities and Organisations).
- Undertaking Teaching, Learning (including but not limited to Curriculum Development) and Assessment in Undergraduate or Postgraduate Programmes.
- Any other duty (aligned with your post) in support of Durban University of Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, and the Department of Architecture, Vision, Mission, and Objectives.
