We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and detail-oriented Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager to join our prestigious 5-star hotel in Durban. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic hospitality professional with a flair for leadership, a commitment to world-class service, and a deep understanding of luxury dining.As F&B Manager, you will oversee all food and beverage operations, from fine dining restaurants and in-room dining to banqueting and bar services. You will lead a talented team to deliver exceptional culinary and service experiences, while driving profitability, creativity, and consistency across all F&B outlets.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the entire F&B team, including restaurant, bar, banqueting, kitchen, and in-room dining staff
- Ensure all F&B operations meet and exceed 5-star service standards, guest expectations, and brand guidelines
- Work closely with Executive Chef and senior management to design and deliver exceptional food concepts, seasonal menus, and memorable dining experiences
- Oversee cost control, stock management, budgeting, and supplier relations to maximize profitability without compromising quality
- Implement and uphold health, hygiene, and safety standards in accordance with HACCP and relevant legislation
- Manage guest feedback and service recovery professionally and effectively
- Drive staff training, development, and performance management to foster a high-performing, service-driven team
- Plan and execute events, banquets, and special occasions with precision and creativity
- Analyse operational performance and continuously identify areas for improvement
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an F&B management role within a 5-star hotel or luxury resort
- Proven ability to lead large teams and run multiple outlets or functions simultaneously
- In-depth knowledge of premium food and beverage trends, wine pairings, and international cuisine
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of financial management (cost control, budgeting, revenue tracking)
- High attention to detail, creativity, and a hands-on, guest-centric approach
- Professional grooming and polished presentation
- Relevant hospitality qualification or diploma preferred
- Knowledge of Micros, Opera, or similar systems advantageous
