- A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Certificates in bookkeeping, such as the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) qualification, or membership with a professional body like the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and Accountants (ICBA), are advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software in IQ RETAIL
- Solid knowledge of South African tax laws, VAT, and compliance requirements.
- Expertise in preparing management accounts only. Financial Statements can only be prepared by a person qualified and a member of SAIPA – South African Institute of Professional Accountants.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, depending on the level of responsibility required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills for liaising with team members and management.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
