- Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth across domestic and international markets.
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing sales.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the business.
- Marketing and Brand Management:
- Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the abattoir’s products and services.
- Develop digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, including social media, online advertising, and content creation.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure that marketing efforts align with product offerings and market trends.
- Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to stay ahead of trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Provide customer service excellence by ensuring the timely resolution of queries, complaints, and requests.
- Gather customer feedback and insights to improve products and services.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare sales forecasts and marketing budgets to guide business decisions.
- Track and report on sales performance, campaign results, and marketing effectiveness.
- Analyze market data and consumer trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate a team of sales and marketing professionals.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Collaboration with Operations:
- Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in sales and marketing within the FMCG sector in South Africa.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Experience managing and leading sales and marketing teams.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving market share growth.
- Experience with key retail channels and distributors in the South African FMCG market.
- Experience with brand management.
- Strong understanding of the South African FMCG market dynamics, including consumer behavior and competitive landscape.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
