A multinational financial institution is looking for an experienced tax professional to lead its tax operations. This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you will manage tax compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements across South Africa and the broader African region.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement tax compliance and reporting processes.
Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting to mitigate reputational risks.
Report on tax data for South Africa and ARO, including IT3s, DWT, WTI, FTCA, and CRS.
Identify and remediate reporting inaccuracies while minimizing client impact.
Provide expert guidance on tax reportable products and support internal teams.
Maintain relationships with internal divisions, SARS, and industry bodies.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
Collaborate with IT to enhance tax reporting systems and functionality.
Manage IRS registration, FATCA alerts, and validate documentation.
Oversee attestation processes and submit the required reports.
Lead and develop a high-performing tax team.
Drive talent management strategies, succession planning, and recruitment.
Monitor team performance, manage leave, and address grievances.
Motivate employees and implement recognition initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor of Commerce Degree or a related qualification.
Post-graduate qualification in Tax (preferred).
10+ years of taxation experience.
5+ years of managerial experience.
Financial services industry experience is essential.
