Job Description:
Oversee project bookkeeping, including cashbook processing and journal entries
Manage bank reconciliations, expense claims, and adherence to funder requirements
Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial reports and statutory filings
Assist program directors and departments with financial planning and management
Review and approve electronic payments and fund transfers.
Maintain an accurate fixed asset register and oversee financial documentation
Monitor the trial balance to uphold strong financial management practices
Ensure VAT compliance and accuracy in line with internal, external, and statutory audits
Oversee cash flow management, loan accounts, and inter-account transfers
Prepare and submit expense claims and financial reports to funders within deadlines
Provide financial insights to senior management, the board, and key stakeholders
Reconcile financial reports with the accounting system to ensure accuracy
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate strategic objectives and delegate responsibilities effectively within the team
Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development within the team
 
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, and management or an equivalent qualification
At least 2 years of post-articles experience
Proficiency in financial accounting systems such as SAP
Experience with PEPFAR audits is highly advantageous
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling
Strong report writing and financial analysis skills.
