This multinational in the financial services sector is looking for an individual who has a passion for tax reporting and compliance.

This company is a prominent financial institution dedicated to providing comprehensive banking solutions and services to individuals, businesses, and communities. This opportunity requires someone with extensive experience in tax, tax reporting, dividends tax and withholding taxes, to name a few.

Duties:

Implement processes for local tax reporting compliance.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to avoid reputational risk.
Report on tax data for South Africa and ARO, including IT3’s, DWT, WTI, FTCA, and CRS.
Assist with remediation for inaccuracies and minimize client impact.
Provide expert advice on reportable products; and train and support divisions thereon.
Maintain relationships with divisions, SARS, and industry bodies; and attend meetings.
Monitor new regulations and advise on compliance.
Collaborate with IT on tax reporting functionality; and ensure compliance.
Manage IRS registration and FATCA alerts; and validate documentation.
Facilitate attestation and submit reports, addressing issues.
Direct and manage team performance and development.
Develop a talent management strategy.
Foster a high-performing team; and ensure effective training.
Maintain succession planning; and support recruitment.
Review headcount requests; and manage leave and grievances.
Motivate employees and recognize their efforts; and collaborate on CES action items.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Bachelor of Commerce Degree or related qualification
Post-graduate in Tax is preferred
10+ years in taxation
5+ years managerial experience is essential
Financial services experience is essential
