Our client, an international exporter of fresh produce, is looking for a commercially minded individual with a combination of well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, to join their team based in Somerset-West (Western Cape).

The role will be focused on the marketing and sales of fresh fruit into South Africa’s main export destinations. Responsibilities will include: *Procuring and sourcing of fruit *Building and maintaining relationships with both growers and customers *Determining market needs *Marketing fruit internationally and exploiting potential opportunities to grow the client base *Calculating and negotiating prices *Providing input to, and liaising with, relevant stakeholders throughout the supply chain *Identifying and managing risks *Tracking results and suggesting corrective action *Ongoing reporting to relevant parties *all other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• A relevant tertiary qualification;

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role;

• Previous experience in the pome fruit/stone fruit/table grape/sub-tropical fruit/berry/citrus industries;

• Willingness to travel locally and internationally;

• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.

Based on level of experience our client offers an extremely competitive remuneration and incentive package.
