A Renewable Solar Energy company is currently seeking an AR Manager (Billing) to join their finance team. The primary function of this role is to oversee and manage the company’s billing processes and ensure the timely and accurate collection of outstanding payments.

As an AR Manager (Billing), you will responsible for the following:

Invoice Generation: Ensuring that invoices are generated accurately and promptly for customers, based on services or products provided.
Accounts Receivable Management: Monitoring and managing the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring that all payments are applied correctly and identifying overdue accounts.
Payment Collection: Developing and implementing strategies for collecting outstanding payments, following up on overdue invoices, and resolving any payment discrepancies.
Customer Account Reconciliations: Ensuring that customer accounts are reconciled regularly, addressing any billing disputes, and collaborating with customers to resolve outstanding issues.
Reporting: Generating and presenting regular reports on the status of receivables, aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and any issues related to collections or disputes.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Coordinating with sales, customer service, and finance teams to address billing-related inquiries, ensure accurate data, and support the smooth flow of information.
Credit Control: Establishing and maintaining appropriate credit limits and terms for customers, evaluating creditworthiness, and minimizing bad debts.
Compliance: Ensuring that billing practices comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements, including tax regulations and invoicing standards.
System Management: Overseeing the use of billing and accounting software or ERP systems to streamline invoicing and collections processes.
Team Leadership: Managing, training, and mentoring the billing team, setting goals, and ensuring that performance standards are met.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Matric/Grade 12 (Certificate required)
Completed Tertiary qualification
Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in a similar position
