Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development and Sales Representative to join our growing team at Olympic Paints. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales and expanding our market presence through new business acquisition and relationship management. This individual will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets within the designated territory.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
- Identify and target new business opportunities to drive sales growth in both existing and untapped markets.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends, and use this knowledge to formulate effective sales strategies.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and attending industry events.
Sales:
- Actively sell Olympic Paints products to retail, commercial, and industrial customers.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients, showcasing Olympic Paints™ product offerings and benefits.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide ongoing support and product knowledge to clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing any queries or concerns efficiently.
Sales Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM software.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Provide sales forecasts and market feedback to senior management.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with customer service and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within the paint or construction industry.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales and relationship management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.

They offer the following to their sales team:
Renumeration structure is basic plus commission. Basic will probably be around 30K with commission bringing the candidate up to a minimum of 45-50k and then further depending on their performance.
The rep will build new business. They are looking at a few market access channels and depending on where the candidate fits in they will adjust their basic and commission accordingly. But they will ensure that the candidate will receive 45-50k by initially keeping the basic higher as the customer base are being grown. Then being moved to commission as they farm the customers brought in.
