- Inspection of Jig and Erection structure of the bus according to quality standards.
- Detection and Identification of Quality defects, reporting and capturing on quality system to generate snag list.
- Communication of all quality and engineering related issues to Production and Engineering departments.
- Use of Engineering drawings to inspect the assembled units at Jigs and Erection and, identify and communicate any discrepancies with Engineering department and supervisor.
- Checking of the Sales Order for each unit produced at Jigs / Erection.
- Completing demerit and inspection reports.
- Inspect Work in progress to determine whether the product meet customer specification.
- Record and report all quality issues.
- Investigating RCA's (Root Cause Analysis) on downtime with all parties involved.
- Validation of results according to drawings making use of calibration tools.
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Inspect and sign off job cards with suppliers for outsourced services on buses.
- Update the demerit-points charts.
Required Skills
- Quality Inspections: 2 to 3 years
- Root Cause Analysis.: 2 to 3 years
- Quality Demerits: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12
- 2 – 3 years’ experience
- Tertiary qualification related to quality assurance.
- Experience with ISO9001.
- ·Ability to perform detailed inspection and detection of quality defects.
- Be able to interpret, read and work with engineering drawings.
- Quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
