Our client - one of the largest and top citrus producers in the Citrus Industry -
has the following challenging career opportunity.
SENIOR FARM MANAGER
The Senior Farm Manager will be responsible to manage an established production unit self-sufficiently. Production activities will focus on the cultivation of citrus fruit to ensure successful and sustainable citrus production.
Although a senior position, the person will be directly and actively involved in day-to-day production and operational matters.
Responsibilities refer to, among others, the effective management of:
- production processes (planning, organising, monitoring, data-collection)
- manpower (planning, scheduling, disciplinary and performance management)
- budgets (compiling and controlling)
- required administration
- implements, equipment and materials
- all relevant and applicable resources.
The management function is supported by a well-established infrastructure in a central office.
Candidate Requirements
The following requirements are important:
- 8 - 15 years of relevant experience
- strong leadership qualities with the necessary management skills as required by a leading organization
- practical, operational and tactical thinking with the aptitude and a passion for the industry, product and people
- result-driven finisher
- growth and further development potential
- computer literacy.
An appropriate tertiary qualification will strengthen the application.
The remuneration package, which includes accommodation, will be aligned with the requirements of the position.
