Join a leading mining company known for excellence and sustainability! Our client seeks a skilled Group Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Consolidate and prepare group financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage inter-company transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across group entities.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the group.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage VAT and income tax submissions for group entities.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance and successful audits.
Provide support for strategic decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis.

Skills & Requirements:

BCom Degree or Honours in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
AGA(SA) qualification is required.
5–8 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 3 years in a group accounting role.
Mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry experience is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
