Job Purpose:
The Senior Inspector is responsible for conducting Internal Quality Control Reviews as outlined in the annual monitoring plan. This role ensures that the firm has reasonable assurance that its policies and procedures for quality control in the respective service lines are relevant, adequate, and operating effectively. The Senior Inspector will provide feedback to improve the firm's quality management system and ensure ongoing compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the Implementation of the Monitoring Plan: Support the execution of the annual monitoring plan to assess the quality control systems within the firm.

• Perform File-Level and Firm-Level Reviews: Conduct file-level reviews and firm-level assessments to evaluate adherence to internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Communicate with Directors and Teams: Maintain regular communication with directors and teams to report findings, provide guidance on improvements, and ensure quality standards are met.

• Identify and Address Deficiencies: Identify deficiencies within the firm’s quality management system, evaluate their significance, and communicate findings to the relevant personnel for remediation.

• Write Review Reports: Draft detailed review reports based on findings from quality control assessments, to be presented to the directors and the Quality Risk Management Committee (QRMC).

• Present Reports to QRMC: Present review reports to the QRMC, responding to any questions or concerns from the committee.

• Assist with Ad-Hoc Firm-Level Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of ad-hoc firm-level reports as required by senior management.

• Develop and Facilitate Training: Develop and deliver training sessions to the firm on common findings, helping to drive continuous improvement in quality control practices.

• Perform Ad-Hoc Reviews and Investigations: Conduct ad-hoc reviews or investigations as requested by the Executive Committee (Exco) or the QRMC to address specific issues or risks.

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (SA)

• Registered Auditor

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ post-article experience in auditing and quality management.

• Previous experience as an Audit Manager is required.

• Experience as an Engagement Quality Reviewer, Pre-Issuance Reviewer, or Quality Reviewer is highly advantageous.
