Correct design of highly complex formwork/scaffolding solutions (shop, assembly and fabrication drawings) and/or delegating design tasks to team members.
Accurate preparation of material lists.
Correct preparation or approval/checking of internal structural calculations and auditable calculation reports (considering local design codes) ensuring team members contribute to these tasks.
Communicate with other departments (Technical, Sales, Operations, Yard etc) and participate in technical negotiations, coordinating efforts across the team.
Active participation in technical meetings/negotiations with clients and sales.
Technical contact person for Customer, to Manage technical queries, and/or change requests that lead to variation orders.
Design utilising key Value Based Pricing items and available stock.
Align with operations on delivery times, portfolio and material availability.
To have a proactive responsibility and awareness of technical solutions to sites and manage the entire lifecycle of projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery whilst staying within agreed tender parameters (price/timelines/material value etc).
Lead and mentor project-based teams for large-scale or complex projects, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed effectively, fostering their development and ensuring they contribute effectively to projects.
Design, pricing and technical support in ''Offer Creation'' on advanced solutions.
Utilise digitisation tools provided to increase productivity, Quicksolve etc.

Candidate Requirements

Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Professional registration with ECSA, or to be eligible for professional registration (Pr. Eng, or Pr. Tech. Eng)
Minimum 7 years of formwork experience
