We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading renewable energy company that specializes in innovative solar power solutions. Our client is at the forefront of the green energy sector, providing sustainable and cutting-edge solutions for a diverse range of clients. As part of their growth, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with extensive solar experience to join their dynamic team.

As an Electrical Engineer in the solar division, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and optimization of solar energy systems. Your expertise will ensure that our client’s projects are executed to the highest standards, delivering clean, efficient energy solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop solar power systems (commercial, industrial, and residential).
Conduct electrical design calculations, analysis, and simulations.
Perform system integration and troubleshoot electrical issues in solar installations.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and ECSA requirements.
Work closely with Project Managers and other Engineers to ensure timely project delivery.
Provide technical support and guidance to Junior Engineers and team members.
Perform quality control and inspections on solar power systems.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in solar energy technology and standards.

Requirements:

ECSA Registration: Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with the ECSA.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with a focus on solar energy projects.
Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining solar power systems.
Strong understanding of electrical design, safety standards, and regulations related to solar energy.
Proficiency in software tools used for electrical design and simulations (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, and ETAP).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (or related field) is a plus.
Additional certifications in renewable energy or solar power systems will be an advantage.
Previous experience working on large-scale solar power installations.
