Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with IFRS 17 and other relevant accounting standards.
Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Provide financial leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, including those related to medical aid.
Ensure that all financial processes align with company policies and industry regulations.
Assist with the development and implementation of financial controls to optimize business performance.
Liaise with Auditors and external regulators to ensure audit readiness and compliance.

Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) – Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in financial management.
Strong expertise in IFRS 17.
Experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on medical aids, will be highly advantageous.
Strong proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Familiarity with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
