Our client is seeking an Accountant who can keep their financial systems in sync and play a key role in driving efficiency and growth. Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and oversee financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Handle technical accounting tasks such as claims processing and reconciling financial statements.
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of two junior accountants, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
Prepare and review monthly financial reports and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist with the preparation of management accounts.
Work closely with senior management and other departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure efficient financial operations.
Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and support external audits.

Experience and Skills Required

BCom degree (or equivalent) + completed Articles.
Minimum of 3 years post-article experience in accounting, preferably within the insurance
Expertise in claims processing and reconciliations.
Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop junior accountants.
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in financial accounting software and Excel.
Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
