My client is a leading, global, JSE listed freight and logistics company that is seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to join their executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the overall strategy and operations of the company, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth goals.
Report directly to the CEO and Board members, providing insightful and strategic guidance on company performance, financials, and market trends.
Oversee the management team and ensure the efficient running of all operational and financial aspects of the business.
Drive profitability through the development of effective business strategies, ensuring the delivery of quality services and customer satisfaction.
Manage key client relationships, business development initiatives, and market expansion efforts.
Ensure adherence to governance, risk management, and compliance standards across all regions.
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of innovative solutions to improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Qualifications: CA(SA) and MBA
Experience: Minimum 15 years of commercial exposure, with at least 7 years in an executive management role (Exco).
Proven track record of leadership and success in managing large teams and driving business results in a global environment.
Extensive experience in the freight and logistics industry, with strong knowledge of operational, financial, and strategic management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
A strong understanding of governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
