Arrow Academy has an opening for a highly motivated Foundation Phase teacher. You should be able to teach in class, which includes the academic, administrative, educational, and disciplinary aspects, and organise extra and co-curricular activities to ensure the comprehensive development of Arrow’s learners.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Education in the Foundation Phase.
• 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in English: verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ClassDojo.

DUTIES

• Set age-appropriate, subject-related goals and expectations for learners.
• Establish a classroom environment that stimulates positive learning and actively engages learners.
• Coordinate and control all academic activities of each subject taught.
• Promote learning through various questioning and discussion techniques.
• Plan, coordinate, control, evaluate, and report on learners’ academic progress.
• Report to parents on progress.
• Plan for your subject, and stay on par with your planning, intervention classes, identifying learning barriers and working with a plan of action to overcome these
• Keep your observations clear and up to date throughout the term.
• Provide interventions and learner support when needed.
• Assist the school principal in overseeing learner counselling and guidance, discipline, and the general welfare of all
• Contribute to the professional development of colleagues by sharing knowledge, ideas, and resources.
