SOS Children’s Villages South Africa is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Manager to oversee and manage key initiatives that support the care, protection, and development of vulnerable children and young people. The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of projects in line with the organisation’s mission. This role requires a highly organized, results-driven individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people and their communities.

Candidate Requirements
Key performance areas and responsibilities:
1. Project Planning:
· Implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
· Identify project goals, scope, and deliverables in alignment with the organisation
· Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners to design projects that address the needs of children and families.
2. Project Implementation:
· Coordinate and project teams to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
· Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, ensuring that activities are carried out according to plan.
· Oversee procurement, logistics, and resource allocation to support project activities.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation:
· Develop monitoring and evaluation tools to track project progress, measure outcomes, and assess impact.
· Prepare regular project reports, including financial reports, for internal and external stakeholders.
· Analyze project data to inform decision-making and make recommendations for future initiatives.
4. Stakeholder Management:
· Maintain strong relationships with donors, government agencies, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.
· Ensure donor compliance by preparing project proposals, reports, and updates.
5. Risk Management:
· Identify potential risks and challenges to project delivery, and develop mitigation strategies.
· Ensure that all project activities comply with legal, regulatory, and organisational policies.
6. Child Protection and Safeguarding:
· Responsible within own area of work to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination.
· Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the CS focal person and/or to the respective line manager.
