Lead and continuously develop this client's industry strategy and operations. Identify and map key players in the mining industry in order to grow the existing network within Sub-Saharan Africa.

General Manager: Operations (Logistics) - Johannesburg

This person will ensure the effective control and management of operational processes, from planning, collection through delivery and financial control, in accordance with the client’s requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Effective operational processes and team leadership
Key account and supplier management
Financial and risk management
Quality control
Continuous improvement

Requirements:

Completed Degree in Logistics, Engineering or Finance
Project Management qualification is an advantage
Minimum of 5 years' experience leading an operational team within Logistics and Freight Forwarding
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing key accounts and being customer facing within Mining client companies
General knowledge of customs procedures
