Are you an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong financial acumen to manage bookkeeping functions and support our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and process payments
• Prepare VAT and other statutory returns
• Assist with payroll processing and related compliance
• Generate financial reports and assist with budgeting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Liaise with auditors, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
• Proficiency in Pastel, Xero, or similar accounting software
• Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements
• Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
