We are a Gardens, Cape Town based luxury linen day-wear design studio for #ageless women.
ON-LINE - The applicant will be responsible for all on-line customer orders/enquiries and abandon charts. Liasing with these clients to ensure they are able to order the correct size item(s) and advising appropriate alternatives that could be offered/produced if sizes are no longer available in aspecific print the customer wants.
CUSTOMER ORDER MANAGEMENT Ensure the in-time production of customer orders from on-line and/or Studio customers. This includes the making of new once-off partners for customer orders, when required, as well as tweeking patterns for fit and item alterations.
PRODUCTION PLANNING. Quarterly production planning and scheduling, including wholesale customer orders. Ensuring the materials for range production is sourced in time for the quarterly production schedule.
ISSUING OF CUT SHEETS: Creating production cut-sheets and coordinating the cutting os production and CMT production
Required Skills
- Planning: 1 year or less
- Fashion Designer: 1 year or less
- Pattern Making: 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
SKILLS:
The candidate must have patternmaking/fashion design experience and be able to liase with demanding women and work under pressure and short lead times. Many customers are foreigners who are in Cape Town for a very short period and may require new patterns or alterations to existing items in the range.
Computer skills including Excell, email and Adobe/Indesign
Ideal candidate will be a problem solver, billingual and have a customer orientated attitude.
