Objective:
The Head of Personal and Social Development will equip participants with life skills, emotional intelligence, and career guidance to support their holistic growth. They will also partner with organizations to provide psychosocial support for participants facing personal and social challenges. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with the Academic Department, Coding & Robotics Department, and Program Coordinator to ensure effective learner management and the successful scheduling of events and workshops throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Individualized Support & Mentorship
- Develop strong relationships with each participant to understand their backgrounds, challenges, and personal aspirations.
- Create personalized support plans that cater to each participant’s unique needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Ensure that all participants are equipped with the necessary tools to succeed academically and socially.
2. Personal & Social Development Programs
- Organize and facilitate workshops on emotional intelligence, leadership, teamwork, and resilience-building.
- Develop career counselling initiatives, including mentorship programs and one-on-one guidance sessions.
- Lead social awareness and community engagement projects to foster a sense of responsibility and empowerment.
3. Psychosocial Support & Mental Well-being
- Provide emotional and psychological support through group discussions, peer support programs, and access to professional counselling.
- Work closely with psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to ensure participants receive necessary mental health interventions.
- Develop strategies to help participants manage stress, anxiety, and emotional distress.
- Promote peer support groups and community engagement activities to create a strong support network.
4. Educational, Practical & Extracurricular Support
- Collaborate with the Academic and Coding & Robotics Departments to monitor learners' progress and provide holistic support.
- Conduct awareness campaigns on mental health, coping mechanisms, and available support services.
- Facilitate life skills training, including conflict resolution, communication, and financial management.
- Assist participants in navigating school-related challenges, advocating for their needs within the educational system.
- Coordinate extracurricular activities, ensuring that social and academic development programs align with learners’ needs.
5. Event & Program Coordination
- Work closely with the Program Coordinator to develop and manage the annual event schedule, including workshops, mentorship sessions, and community engagement projects.
- Assist in organizing career fairs, leadership summits, and networking opportunities for learners.
- Ensure effective time management and scheduling to balance learners' academic and developmental activities.
6. Cultural and Recreational Activities
- Organize creative expression programs (art, music, drama) as therapeutic outlets.
- Promote sports and physical activities to enhance mental and emotional well-being.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counselling, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in personal development, counselling, youth mentorship, or social work.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Experience in mentorship and career counselling.
- Knowledge of psychosocial support services and mental health interventions.
- Strong problem-solving and advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills for event planning and scheduling.
